COMMUNICATION – an antenna tower immerses its surroundings in magical blue

In Ireland’s capital of Dublin, Europoles has recently set up an antenna tower that is by all means unique. The 36-metre tower is fascinating because of its 3 elliptic, asymmetrically configured platforms alone. The absolute highlight of the tower, however, is its blue LED light strips mounted below the platform. As a result, the telecom tower is a genuine designer object: it’s not only functional, but looks great as well.

 COMMUNICATION – Europoles Camouflage Mast in Vamdrup, Denmark

The use of mobile telephones means that antennas are needed. But society now expects that the required communication masts be as inconspicuous as possible. In the Danish city of Vamdrup, a new Europoles mast type has set standards for being unobtrusive. Europoles erected this mast as a prototype, as part of an order from Eltel Networks, for the ultimate customer Hi3 G Dänemark. The communications mast – 36 metres tall, and constructed of concrete, steel, and glass-fibre-reinforced plastic (GRP) – blends harmoniously into the surrounding landscape.  more »
